Rock On Project!

The rock on project was to create our own band with any kind of genre. My band was a rap band called street soul. What I learned from this experience was alot pf patience. It really isn't easy to create a band, place the tours, make the posters, cd covers, backstage passes, and much more.
Out of the seven functions of marketing I would say that we used promotion more than any of them. We had to promote on the tour bus, a concert poster, a cd cover, novelty items like shitrts or hats, and backstage passes. It took a while to complete this project and finish everything that was needed to complete the requsites of the project.

Spring Break 2009!!!

Spring Break was supposed to be a time to have fun, party, well just let loose and forget about school for a while. My spring break was not something that was not so exciting but I was able to get some sleep. I really did not do anything exciting just be at home and watch t.v, get sleep, and just spend some good time with my loved ones.

4 p's of marketing in superbowl ads

The 4 P's are shown in the commercial of pepsi max by show the product which is pepsi. The price doesn't have to be shown with a well known product like pepsi. The place also doesn't have to be said. The people who it is promoting to are men.

I chose this ad beacause it doesn't literally have the four p's. It doesn't have price or place because with a well known product like coke you dont need to. It has the product and it is using the olympics as a way to promote coke.

Functions of Marketing

Product service management is designing, developing, maintaining, and improving the product. Distribution is determining the best way to place that product. Selling is hoe your product serve the customers needs. Financing is budgeting for markting activities and helping the customer pay your product or service. Pricing is communicating the value of your product or service to the customer. Promotion is advertising or other forms of communicating information about your product to achive a desired outcome. The way all of these functions tie together is involving the product that is being sold.

Superbowl Commercial...

My favorite superbowl commercial had to be the career builder commercial. I guess just because you really do sometime feel that way when you have a job you hate. I've had jobs that i just hated coming to work that I would try to do whatever I could to make it better. Although it wasn't targeted for youg viewers there are some of us who feel that way about our jobs.

Game in Sports Marketing

What does salt, water, a spoon, a straw,a napkin, and a cup have in common? They were in a computer class. HAhaha. We had to get them from one table to another without moving the cups full of water and salt. We used straws and napkins to transport water and we used the napkin to transport the salt.

My Team!!!

My team consist of Brian Gutierrez (me), Eder Arroyo, and Victor Zamorano. What I learned about Eder is that he plays varsity soccer for Spring Woods High School. Something that I learned about victor is that he likes quesadillas.

Interview Questions....

• I love food but my favorite type of food would have to be the one that I eat every day... MEXICAN!!! I like any type of music just to try new things. I don't get to watch that much T.V but I would have to say that my favorite show would have to be Family Guy.
• I don't have a favorite subject in school yet but the one that I like the most would have to be Sports Marketing just because it has something to do with what I want to do which involves business. This might be the subject in which I excel but its to soon to tell.
• My strengths include being a hard worker, responsible, and I like to ask questions. My weaknesses would have to be that I'm to nice, sometimes I cant say no.
• When its something that I know that I haven't been paying attention much and I know that I wont know much about the test I do study, but when its a class that I do pay attention and I work hard I don't usually study. When I do study I just review what the test will be about.
• What I would like to learn most from this class is something that will help me in the future. Something that will be with me in my career and in my life.
• The work should be divided equally but if my team member needs help or does not understand it I will most likely do it but will expect the same when it happens to me.
• I would make a great team member because I do work hard and I really try to get the job done before we start to play...

Wahoo Fish Tacos...??

Wahoo Fish Tacos seems to me by the video that its a well established company supporting the community and it's sports and having the community support it. The way they promote their business is impressive because they not only promote by giving away food at extreme sports events but also at charity events. Wahoo doesnt buy commercial time or partners with a big corporate business they decide to focus on the customer and the feeling that their restaraunt gives when they enter. What defines marketing? Marketing is the creation and maintenance of sastifying exchange relationships.

Business... Whats next?

New to the class. I walk in not knowing what to expect but what they have told me. I know that it has to do with business thats why they put me in here. I plan to major in business so they tell me that I should like this class. I want to learn anything that will help me in the future even " market myself in both college and my career".
